Swift Sport Hot Lap Challenge

Four dedicated friends of Suzuki received the royal treatment this month when they won the Swift Sport Hot Lap Challenge competition hosted on Suzuki's Facebook. They received expert tuition behind the wheel of Suzuki's award winning Swift Sport from John Bowe Driving School, then had the chance in a timed match race against a quartet of Suzuki ambassadors - Billy Slater, Lydia Lassila, Alex Chumpy Pullin and Andy Yates.

And to keep the world's best rugby league player, the world's best aerial skier, the world's best snowboarder and the world's best kite boarder honest, we also invited some new friends of Suzuki - participants from the hit TV show The Block - to try their best as well.

On the tight, testing confines of the Broadford track, the Swift Sport Hot Lap Challenge bought out the best in all competitors, with Chumpy Pullin leading the charge for the ambassadors clocking an excellent time of 1:15.4. However, Facebook winner and Suzuki owner James was clearly the best driver on the day, recording a 1:15.2 to shade the world champion snowboarder by two tenths of a second.

The event was best summed up by Olympic champion Lydia Lassila - "great car, great track, great tuition, great people - just a great day!"
