Hi Gerry and Mark, the Grand Vitara DDiS fuel tank size is 66L. When you refuel your vehicle please remember that there is some fuel in there already.

  • Mark of Karratha - April 27, 2012 at 10:58AM

I have the same problem as Gerry Of Deception Bay. I bought a 2010 diesel new and I believe its only got a 55L tank. Max fuel Ive added is 51L. My dealer doesnt seem to want to help. Its a shame as I love the car, but the range was one of the points I chose the diesel GV and im not getting that. Dont know how to get things checked and fixed.

Just received our 3 door Grand Vitara from the boys at Amity Motors Albany, what a great drive and a fun vehicle, look forward to the reversing camera and other giveaways. Thanks Suzuki!

@ Alnis of Sider-nee, Bridgestone Dueler tyres is a nice tyre. but most of 5 door models comming with plane dunlop tyres. I love 3 door models but due to family reasons i prefer 5 door. any All Terrain Tyre should be there for Grand Vitara because its not pretender offroader .so company should consider these

    • Tom of Maitland - April 16, 2012 at 2:23PM

The gearing on the new Grand Vitara seems to be different from my old model (v6 2.5litre), 1:1 in 5th gear, essentially there is no overdrive which is a bit of a concern. Am I correct? How many RPM would the new engine be doing at 110km/h and what sort of fuel economy could I expect at these speeds?

    • Alnis of Sider-nee - April 14, 2012 at 3:21PM

Mr Deep, my 3 door Vitara is a month old, and it does have Bridgestone Dueler tyres.

    • Mr.Deep of Parramatta - April 12, 2012 at 12:39PM

Even though Grand Vitara users are few in Australia compared to other Brands I prefer to go with Vitara only because it's off road capability. But sorry to say the company tire is Dunlop normal one its pathetic. Even Rav4 is comming with Bridgestone Suzuki still stick with Dunlop. As I am into market now for new SUV , Is there any option from dealers for good tires like Tirrell scorpion ATR/STR, Bridgestone dueler , or Michelin Latitude Cross etc. common Suzuki your selling point is Off road capable SUV. Dont kill that with such pathetic tire from Dunlop .

    • Brian Clarkson of Western Australia - April 11, 2012 at 11:12PM

I would like to see the three door Grand Vitara come in two wheel drive only.

    • Gerry of Deception Bay of Deception bay Qld - April 09, 2012 at 6:38PM

I own a 2011 grand vitara urban series JB 5 door I purchased the vehicle newand believe it only has a 55 litre fuel tank. When the fuel light is on I can only put 51 litres in it at the most, as I believe the reserve fuel is about 5 litres. My owners manual states it should have a 66 litre tank. How do I get Suzuki Australia fit the correct size fuel tank in my car.

Will the facelifted 2012 Grand Vitara include Down Hill Assist, 5 speed auto transmission and rear park assist?

    • Jared Armstrong - March 12, 2012 at 10:27PM

Is there a new model coming out this year? I cannot seem to find any 2012 plated models at the dealerships? Thanks

    • Suzuki Australia of Melbourne VIC - March 09, 2012 at 9:48AM

Hi Alex, please note that we do have stock of the GV Prestige 2.4L model, however if it is the V6 you are seeking we must advise that this variant has been discontinued and that new stock has been exhausted.

    • Alex Ar of Melbourne - March 08, 2012 at 6:48PM

Hi,, Is there a shortage of Grand Vitaras in Melbourne? I have tried in several dealerships, there are not GV Prestige available any more 0 kms? When are the 2012 Models comming? Thanks for your anser.

    • Denis M\'Gee of Sydney - March 02, 2012 at 4:03PM

Hi, are the Grand Vitarra 1.9L Diesel available in australia?

    • Suzuki Australia of Melbourne VIC - March 02, 2012 at 8:39AM

Hi Alex. The Grand Vitara Prestige 2.4L does not have HHC/ HDC, but it is standard on the Limited Edition Grand Vitara Sport. Check it out at your nearest Suzuki Dealer.

    • Alex Ar of Melbourne - March 01, 2012 at 7:50PM

Hello, I am very Interested in a Grand Vitara, I wanted the V6 vesion but it seems that is now discontinued. So my question is, does the GV Prestige 2.4 L include Hill control and Hold control?... are the 2012 Grand Vitaras LImited, Ultimate adventure comming? Thanks for your answer.

    • Suzuki Australia of Melbourne VIC - February 20, 2012 at 4:19PM

Hi Robert, the 2.4L Grand Vitara towing capacity is 1,850kg (MT) and 1,700kg (AT). It should be enough for your Caravan, just book a test drive at your nearest Dealership.

    • Robert Hurst of Australia - February 20, 2012 at 4:04PM

Yes, what happened to the V6 Vitara, I have been waiting for months for a test drive from my local dealer. I thought this would be the only mid-size SUV to be able to tow a 1500kg.,15\' caravan, I wonder how the VW goes.

    • 7 seater of NSW - February 16, 2012 at 9:10AM

Will the XL7 be making a come back in austraila??? or only in overseas market???

    • Suzuki Australia of Melbourne VIC - February 08, 2012 at 8:50AM

Hi John, the Grand Vitara Prestige V6 has been discontinued.

    • John Nicholson of South Australia - February 06, 2012 at 4:50PM

I notice that some questions get answered, but not all. It is now 6 weeks since I posted a question, 14th Dec 2011, so I will repeat in the hope of getting an answer. What has happened to the V6 version of the Grand Vitara Prestige? It was my intent to purchase this model but now, well who knows

    • wesley of NSW - February 06, 2012 at 7:48AM

Where did the 7 seater model disappear too... I\'ll have to look at the dualis ÷2 model 32k drive away. Do you have anything in the pipeline...

    • ozedude of sydney - January 27, 2012 at 11:30AM

Well i'm glad we agree its not a model upgrade, but special edition? Please, a barely discernable grille and a bit of grey upholstery? I laughed when i wasted my time having a look. Come on Suzuki, pull your proverbial finger out and at least give your prospective customers a clue if /what /when the upgrade will be. A reasonable request given its safe to say its well overdue.

    • Suzuki Australia of Melbourne VIC - January 27, 2012 at 11:18AM

Ozedude, the Grand Vitara Sport is not a "model upgrade", it is a special edition added to the model line-up with exclusive features and added value in comparison to the standard model.
