All Grip SELECT
4-mode AWD system
The intuitive 4WD system in Suzuki ALLGRIP SELECT uses sensors and computers to detect and analyse the driving conditions and anticipate vehicle motion, to provide optimal power distribution to the wheels and prevent loss of grip before it happens.

In Auto mode, the vehicle uses fuel-efficient 2WD mode until the sensors detect loss of traction, for example in wet conditions. Optimal drive power is instantly allocated to the rear wheels and the vehicle automatically switches to 4WD for extra stability. Once the front wheels have regained grip, the vehicle automatically switches back to 2WD mode.
Ideal for sporty driving, like on those fun winding roads. The engine generates high torque from a lower throttle position, improving acceleration response. Sensors monitor driving factors to anticipate vehicle motion and actively allocate optimal drive power to the rear wheels for sportier cornering that just makes you smile.
4WD mode is activated, providing optimal drive power to all four wheels for extra driving stability. If the tyres spin on a slippery road surface, ESP traction control suppresses the spin and helps to keep the vehicle on the right track. Sensors monitor driving factors and anticipate vehicle motion, applying optimal drive power to the rear wheels to stabilise the vehicle’s tracking, even before a skid occurs.
Lock mode provides maximum ability on challenging surfaces, such as mud or rough roads. Feedforward control feeds torque to the rear wheels to ensure a near 50:50 torque distribution to the front and rear wheels during acceleration. If a wheel loses traction, ESP senses this and applies braking to the slipping wheel while ensuring full power to the rest of the wheels, to help you get unstuck.
All Grip PRO
Part-time 4WD system
Advanced features. Adventurous fun. ALLGRIP PRO provides extra capability for challenging driving environments, so you can go further, fearlessly. The part-time 4WD system allows the vehicle to switch between 2WD and 4WD as required through a transfer case between the front and rear driveshafts. In 4WD mode, the system distributes engine power to all four wheels evenly.

Hill Hold Control keeps you moving upward and onward on steep and bumpy slopes, preventing rearward rolling so you can focus on controlling acceleration.
Hill Descent Control
Hill Descent Control helps you manouevre tricky descents at the push of a button by automatically applying the brakes and maintaining a fixed speed so you can concentrate on steering.
Brake LSD Traction Control
Take back control. If two wheels diagonal from each other lose grip on a slippery surface, Brake LSD Traction Control automatically applies braking force to the slipping wheels and redistributes torque to the other two wheels, allowing you to get out of there, smiling.
Suspension and Chassis
Full-width rigid axles in both front and rear of the Jimny ensure superior grip on diverse surfaces. When an obstacle pushes one wheel up, the axle presses the other wheel down to increase tyre contact in rough road conditions.
