If things look a little too close for comfort, audio and visual alerts help you react quickly. Need more stopping power? Brake assist lends a helping foot, and if a collision becomes harder to avoid, the system can help reduce impact.
If a collision is detected, e VITARA moves fast to help stop things getting worse. When the brake system receives a signal from the airbags that a collision has occurred, it automatically activates the brakes and brake lamps to alert nearby vehicles and help prevent a secondary collision.
With Adaptive Cruise Control engaged, e VITARA’s Lane Keep Assist helps hold a steady line, gently keeping you centred in your lane like it just knows where you meant to be. And when things get tight, it can step in with subtle steering support if a nearby vehicle or roadside obstacle like a temporary barrier creeps a little too close, helping you maintain a safer distance and a calmer drive through the chaos.
On the move, Lane Departure Prevention keeps a quiet watch on the road markings, reading the lane and anticipating your path ahead. If the vehicle starts to drift toward the edge, an audible alert or a steering wheel vibration helps bring focus back to the drive. And if it still senses a high risk of drifting out of lane, it can step in with gentle steering support to help guide the vehicle back toward the centre.
e VITARA keeps an eye on the signs so you can keep your eyes on the road. Recognised road signs are displayed clearly on the information display, bringing key limits into view at a glance. If you drift over the posted speed, the speed limit icon flashes as a subtle reminder. Push a little further and an audio alert joins in, helping bring things back within the limit.
Adaptive Cruise Control helps take the edge off longer drives by monitoring the vehicle ahead, automatically adjusting speed to maintain your set distance. Choose from four distance settings to suit your style. When the road ahead opens up, it holds your initial cruising speed, keeping things smooth, steady and easy.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert adds an extra layer of awareness when reversing out of tight spots. Using millimetre-wave radar sensors, it detects vehicles approaching from either side as you back out of a parking space or garage, and provides a clear warning to help you react with confidence.
