Suzuki’s first EV has arrived

Something new has joined the Suzuki family and it’s unlike anything we’ve brought to Australia before. The e VITARA is Suzuki’s first fully electric SUV, and it’s now available in Australia. Practical, capable and packed with technology, the e VITARA marks an exciting new chapter for the brand. One that stays true to everything Suzuki drivers love, while embracing a cleaner, more connected way to drive.

Vitara’s 38-year evolution

The Vitara name has been part of Australian motoring since 1988, when Suzuki introduced a compact 4WD that quickly earned a reputation for punching well above its size. Through the decades and across multiple generations, the Vitara evolved becoming more refined, more capable and more popular — without ever losing the go-anywhere spirit that made it a favourite. Now, that legacy takes its boldest step yet. The e VITARA carries the nameplate into a fully electric era, honouring decades of adventure while opening the road to something entirely new.

Choose from two options

The e VITARA is available in two variants, each designed to suit different needs and driving styles.

e VITARA Motion

The e VITARA Motion is the accessible entry point into electric driving with Suzuki. Powered by a 49kWh battery with a 106kW front motor, it delivers a WLTP driving range of 344km which is more than enough for everyday life. DC fast charging takes the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in just 45 minutes. Priced from $46,990 drive-away, the Motion comes generously equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, single-zone climate control, 12-colour ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera and 18-inch alloy wheels as standard.

e VITARA Ultra

The e VITARA Ultra steps things up significantly. Its 61kWh battery and dual-motor ALLGRIP-e all-wheel drive system produce 135kW and 307Nm of torque, with a WLTP range of up to 395km. DC fast charging still gets you from 10 to 80 per cent in 45 minutes. The Ultra adds heated front seats, an Infinity sound system with subwoofer, a glass roof with shade, wireless phone charging, dual-zone climate control and premium fabric and leather upholstery. Priced from $56,990 drive-away, it’s the ultimate e VITARA experience.

HEARTECT-e platform

The e VITARA is built on Suzuki’s all-new HEARTECT-e platform — a purpose-built electric vehicle architecture co-developed with Toyota. Engineered from the ground up for EVs, HEARTECT-e optimises weight distribution, rigidity and interior space, providing a stable, confident drive whether you’re navigating the city or heading further afield.

ALLGRIP-e 4WD system

Available exclusively on the Ultra variant, Suzuki’s ALLGRIP-e system delivers intelligent all-wheel drive performance. By independently controlling torque to the front and rear axles, ALLGRIP-e keeps you surefooted across a variety of surfaces — from wet roads to unsealed tracks. A dedicated Trail driving mode makes it even more capable when the terrain demands it.

At the Automotive Researchers’ & Journalists’ Conference of Japan (RJC), the e VITARA was highlighted as a standout example of practical, customer-focused electrification.

Across both variants, the e VITARA delivers a well-rounded package of everyday technology and safety. A seamlessly integrated display system combines a 10.1-inch touchscreen with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and every model includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera and 12-colour ambient lighting. Safety is taken care of by Suzuki Safety Support, which includes seven airbags, Dual Sensor Brake Support II, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert which gives you confidence on every drive.
